‘Why Oh Why?’ New single coming soon!

Why Oh Why? was first penned in 2021 in the immediate aftermath of the murder of MP Sir David Amess, and 5 years after the murder of MP Jo Cox. It’s not about politics per se, but a defiant message to those, who seek to divide communities and justify acts of violence using faith or culture as a defence, that they cannot and will not prevail. You can’t defend the indefensible and your actions will not ‘pitch all our brothers against sisters’, and no-one will accept any justification as you execute your crimes ‘in the name of..’.

No faith or culture will accept that, not even your own!

The loss of these two public figures highlights a much wider issue with knife crime and violence that those of the human faith will not tolerate. Simple as that.

Why Oh Why? is 2 minutes 42 seconds of hard hitting rant with everything thrown in but, when all’s said and done, it’s just a song! With Paul on guitars, vocals and bass and Jonathan Wills on drums, much of the original demo survives with recently re-recorded instruments and drums bringing Why Oh Why? into the now.
